Our skin is the biggest organ in our body, and the most often neglected. Eating nutrient rich foods nourishes your skin and helps give you a natural, healthy glow. Try eating some of these foods that help promote skin health.
Avocados- Rich in fiber to help digestion. Also rich in antioxidants(Vitamin E and lutein) to protect skin from oxidative damage. Avocados also have healthy fats that help maintain moisture.
Berries - help protect the skin, minimize signs of ageing, and have tons of antioxidants and vitamin C, which we need for collagen production, elastin support and protection from free radicals.
Chia seeds - contain omega 3 fatty acids that are necessary for proper cell function. Helps skin structure appear bouncy and glowing.
Sweet potatoes - rich in vitamin A,C,E, potassium, magnesium and copper, which all support skin health.
Tomatoes -rich in lycopene, an antioxidant that shields skin from sun damage. Lycopene also minimizes premature aging and encourages a healthy glow.
Papaya-the papain in papaya helps digest protein. Protein is an important building block of healthy skin.
