In an effort to create a stronger culture of care, we would like to start a Chat & Chew Series, where we can come together to discuss specific topics over some shared tasty treats. Our first event in this series will be a fun event, so we hope many of you can come out for it! In collaboration with our Wellness Director, Dr. Levine, we will have an evening of reflection and connection.
REFLECTION OPEN MIC: It is so easy to become jaded in our field of work, and it is sometimes necessary to reflect on why we first got into this field--to remind ourselves of the good parts in the midst of the daily grind. This will be an opportunity to share with one another what drives us to stay in healthcare or simply what sparks joy for you. We wanted to make this an event as a sort of open mic/talent night, where you can share a poem, comedy act, art, spoken word, photography, song, etc... about what inspires you.
BAKE OFF: We also would like to finally organize our Bake Off that we have long been speaking about in the department. Bring your best baked creations for a chance to win bragging rights as the best baker of SSUH ED!
