Heidi Levine, DO MBA

Director of Wellness and Patient Experience

Dr. Heidi Levine, a Long Island native, is an attending physician and Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine, Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. Dr. Levine attended medical school at The New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency in Emergency Medicine at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center in Bronx, New York. Upon completion of residency, Dr. Levine practiced Emergency Medicine in Southern California for eleven years. She earned a Masters in Business Administration from the University of California, Irvine in 2000.

In 2002, Dr. Levine returned to New York and joined the staff at Southside Hospital as an Emergency Medicine physician and as the Medical Director of Quality for the hospital. She has held multiple administrative positions in the areas of Quality and Utilization throughout her tenure at Southside. Dr. Levine became the Director of Wellness for the Emergency Department in 2017. She sits on the Graduate Medical Education Well-Being Committee, The Governor’s Board Physician Well-Being Committee, and is actively collaborating with the Department of Student Affairs at the Zucker School of Medicine developing wellness programs for its medical students.

Dr. Levine lives in Dix Hills with her husband, three children, and dog. She enjoys running, yoga, experimenting in the kitchen with healthy, low-fat recipes, and spending time with family and friends. Dr. Levine credits her career longevity to her regular wellness practices.
