Megan Slowey, DO

Dr. Megan Slowey completed medical school at NYCOM, and graduated as a member of the Psi Sigma Alpha Honor Society and Sigma Sigma Psi Honor Society. During medical school she also received the NYCOM-global health fellowship scholarship and traveled to Peru for a month to work in a local hospital. After medical school she completed 3years of EM residency training at Hofstra-NSUH. Dr. Slowey was involved in the residency selection committee, triage task force, and residency unification committee. During her senior year of residency she was elected Chief Resident and primarily responsible for scheduling and resident wellness. After residency she signed on at SSUH as an Attending physician in 2018 with an interest in physician wellness. She has 2 young children, and herself was born and raised on Long Island where she met her husband in high school. She enjoys spending her free time with her family, especially going to the beach, being outdoors and traveling.
