Dr. Lee is an attending physician at Southside Hospital and an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell.  He is passionate about taking care of critically ill patients and treating diverse pathologies here at Southside Hospital.  He enjoys reviewing the core contents of emergency medicine and is currently involved in writing an emergency medicine board review book. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) and his MD from the Chicago Medical School.  He then trained in emergency medicine at NYU/Bellevue Hospital Center in New York City.


After residency, he worked at Flushing Hospital Medical Center where he served as the Associate Director of the Emergency Department and the Director of Medical Education. Dr. Lee also worked as a core faculty member in the Department of Emergency Medicine and as an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at Stony Brook University Medical Center. He has published over 80 peer-reviewed articles and also serves as a peer reviewer for ten journals. Additionally, he has given over 90 invited lectures locally, nationally and internationally.  He served on the board of directors for the American Academy of Emergency Medicine (AAEM) and was involved in the educational and international committees for AAEM.


Dr. Lee believes Southside Hospital will be a top training facility for Emergency Medicine residency education in the near future because there are so many interesting cases coming from a diverse patient population.
